Stunning location, 5 minutes' walk to The Fitzwilliam Gallery. Perfectly clean and well-kept rooms with a huge bed, a scrumptious granola sundae for breakfast, as example, and friendly service.
Beds were too hard.

charming stay near beatrix potter gallery and lakeside views
As a couple, we appreciated how well looked after we were, enjoying helpful advice for walking routes in the area, though the squeaky floorboards in the old house might be a consideration for those sensitive to such details.

Cozy retreat in the lakes!
Spent 3 nights in this charming place. Sue and Richard were super friendly, and the breakfast with locally made Cumberland sausages was a highlight! The Garden room was spacious and comfy. Only thing, parking can get tight if it's busy. Perfect base for walks and just a short stroll from the village.

Perfect getaway vibes
We had a fabulous 3-night stay. The four-poster bed was super comfy. There were these cute chocolates in the room! Breakfast was so good, I enjoyed the full one while my partner loved the pancakes. Only wish the Wi-Fi was a bit stronger. Sue and Richard were just the best hosts! Totally recommend it.

This place was a prime choice for a short stint in Hawkshead with value for money. Welcomed with tea in the conservatory added a nice touch. Just make sure to take it easy on those narrow lanes when driving.

Richard n sue are the best hosts, super friendly n helpful. Breakfast was sooo good, loved the full cumbrian and everything was fresh! The room was really comfy with a fab bathroom and great views. We felt relaxed right away cuz of the tea n cake they offered us when we arrived!
Only downside was the taxi to get there was kinda pricey. We could hear some noise from the street at night.

A Cozy Retreat with Fantastic Hosts
The room was spacious and impeccably clean, with luxurious amenities. Richard and Sue's homemade breakfast was a highlight, especially the fresh eggs from their hens. We also enjoyed unwinding in the beautiful garden while interacting with the charming alpacas. One aspect that could be improved is the availability of more local dining recommendations for dinner.
